In 2023, Joyce and Stephen were interviewed for Netflix’s Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey by noted director, Joe Berlinger. It became available to stream on Netflix starting November 25, 2024. The 2016 updated version of Presumed Guilty: An Investigation of the JonBenet Ramsey Case, the Media, and the Culture of Pornography is available on Amazon Kindle.

Joyce and Stephen have been featured on numerous national television programs, cable networks, radio programs, and podcasts for their work and involvement in high-profile true crime cases over the last three decades. A few are highlighted below:
On October 23rd, 2022, Joyce and Stephen were interviewed on the Black Widow killer, Jill Coit, based on their 1995 book, Charmed to Death, for the Oxygen Network.
On April 23rd, 2023, Joyce and Stephen appeared on I.D. Discovery’s Very Scary People. They spoke about the life and crimes of John Robinson, the first known serial killer to use the Internet to lure his victims, the subject of their 2003 book, Anyone You Want Me to Be.
On May 15th, 2022, the Oxygen Network aired Joyce and Stephen’s interview on their book, Shadow on the Mountain.
In June 2021, Stephen was featured on the Oxygen Network for his book, Sweet Evil, about the 1990 Jennifer Reali case in Colorado Springs, CO.
In March 2021, the Reelz Channel aired “Cult of Personality: Warren Jeffs,” featuring interviews with Joyce, Stephen, and others connected to the case.
In October 2019, Stephen and Joyce were featured on ABC’s 20/20 “Sole Survivor” program for their 2003 book, Anyone You Want Me To Be: A True Story of Sex and Death On The Internet.

Stephen appeared on Larry King Live twice: for his 1996 book Legacy of Deception: An Investigation of Mark Fuhrman and Racism in the LAPD and again for the Singulars’ 2008 book, When Men Become Gods, about Fundamentalist Mormon leader Warren Jeffs.

On May 25th, 2019, the New York Times Editorial Board published The Doctors Who Put Their Lives on the Line – The New York Times referencing Stephen’s 2012 book, A Death in Wichita: Abortion Doctor George Tiller And The New American Civil War. The hardcover edition, published in 2011, was entitled The Wichita Divide.
Stephen’s first book, in 1987, Talked to Death: The Life & Murder of Alan Berg, chronicles the neo-Nazi assassination of a Denver talk show host. The story foreshadows much of the white nationalist activity seen in America in recent years. The book was the basis for the 1989 Oliver Stone movie, “Talk Radio.” In 2021, London’s ForeMedia Group published an updated e-book version of Legacy of Deception: An Investigation of Mark Fuhrman and Racism in the LAPD. A documentary based on Talked to Death is in development.
In 2011, Joyce finished her work with Raymond Plank, the founder of the Apache Oil Corporation, on his memoir A Small Difference.
